First Full Choral Rehearsal!

December 12, 2012 will be Chickering Chorus’ first full rehearsal of all singers for the year. This is a crucial rehearsal as the melody singers have never heard the harmony singers and vice versa. Attendance is expected for all participants.

The rehearsal will begin at the close of school (12:00 – half day) and end at 1:30, with pick up in the entryway of the school. Friends of Chickering Music have graciously offered to provide lunch for everybody.

Looking forward to hearing our full chorus – 117 member strong!

Winter Concert Coming Soon!

Join us Friday, December 21st at 9am in the Gymnasium for Chickering’s Winter Concert! The performance will feature the 5th Grade Band, Chickering Strings and Chickering Chorus.

Students in the ensembles are expected to wear “concert dress” which means light tops (white or light colors, blouse, dress shirt, etc.) and dark bottoms (black/brown/navy pants, skirt, etc.).

Dover Tree Lighting

The annual Dover Tree Lighting is just around the corner! Can you believe it?!?

Every year, we need 5th Grade Band members to play for this event. It is optional, but we hope your child will be able to participate. We will learn special music for this performance, so be sure that you can commit to extra practice time to learn the music in time for the event on Wednesday, December 5th.

We will meet for three rehearsals to prepare. Students who sign up to play must attend these rehearsals so that we can play our best! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me!
